Award winners. Literary awards like the Pulitzers and the Man Booker Prize are fairly well-known, but there's also many smaller awards recognizing work in specific genres or from specific regions. Newly published. Publishers and book marketing firms occasionally ask us to share information about new books. Simply because a book is listed here doesn't mean it's great or even good. It does mean that the industry has deemed it worthy of promoting. And since these works are often ones by first time or relatively unknown writers, it can be a good resource if you're looking for something outside the mainstream.
